2017 in Review

2017 was a year of discovery, adventure, and complete excitement. This year left me wanting more, and gave me the biggest thirst for life and all the beautiful things it has to offer.

I can honestly say that this past year has been the most incredible year of my career thus far, and I feel so completely blessed to see how far life has taken me. From working with Anthropologie on various campaigns, to being featured in Vanity Fair Magazine, and collaborating with incredible designers and brands in New York City... my heart is just so full at the thought of all the beautiful blessings 2017 sent my way.

I am forever grateful to all of the beautiful people that helped me make so many of dreams come true this past year, and can't begin to express my gratitude. To my sweet and wonderful photographers who were always there when I needed a quick photo-op, to my mentors and colleagues whom I learned so much from, to my precious friends and family  who consistently motivated me and encouraged me to never give up, and lastly to beautiful New York City for inspiring me, pushing me, and allowing for this small town Texas girl's dreams to come true.

I can't wait to see what 2018 has in store. xo

Holiday Green

Anthropologie Beatty Strapless Jumpsuit & Leopard-Print Crossbody Bag
Anthropologie Teardrop Bib Necklace | Kenneth Cole Heels

I tend to wear dresses year-round, so this Holiday Season I've been opting for fun, chic jumpsuits instead.( Plus, I love any excuse to wear a classic & trendy jumpsuit.) There's just something about them that screams ultra femme and chic

This one from Anthro featured above, is the perfect mix of classic & chic. You can dress it up for end of year parties, or dress it down for casual drinks with friends. It comes in a classic black as well, but as a lover of color, I decided to go with this pretty green

Something that I want to try in 2018 is to step out of my comfort zone a little more when it comes to style, and wear colors I don't wear that often, plus incorporate a little more print mixing.

What are some styles that your excited to try in the New Year?
Let me know in the comments below!

Velvet Jumper

BaubleBar Criselda Drop Earrings | Marc Fisher Glitter Block Heel

One of my favorite things to wear during the Holiday Season has always been velvet, and if I could wear velvet year-round I definitely would!

I picked up so many great velvet pieces from Anthro this year, and this velvet jumper skirt above is one of them. I love the gorgeous silver color, and low-front detailing. It makes it such a unique and fun option for my closet to wear to parties, or to cocktails with friends. It also comes in a beautiful plum shade, and I'm sooo tempted to snag it too! (It's currently $49, plus an extra 30% off!!) Anthropologie is having their annual Winter Tag Sale & it's the BEST time to shop those pieces that you might have missed before Christmas. I'm linking more of my favorites for you below.

Other velvet pieces on my list:

1. This Ava Velvet Jumpsuit

2. Obsessing over this Velvet Halter Jumpsuit
3. This beautiful Striped Velvet Dress
4. This velvet backpack in Rose
5. A classic black Velvet Jumpsuit
