Floral Fever

Zara Floral Dress | Steve Madden Sandals | Francesca's Tassel Earring

Happy Monday!

I hope that you had a fun-filled and relaxing weekend.
Mine was filled with lots and lots of cocktails, great food, and good laughs!

My friend Jessica's birthday was on Friday night and we headed out to Pod 39 Rooftop for drinks with a few of our favorite gals. Then on Saturday night  I had a mini reunion with one of my friends who lives in D.C. (Who's planning a move to NYC soon!) We went for drinks and a fun night of dancing in Chelsea. So needless to say, I used most of Sunday re-coop and it consisted of some r&r and regrouping for a new week ahead!

Back to the look:
I feel as though if someone where to walk into my apt, and take a peek inside one of my closets they would be more than slightly overwhelmed with all of the floral prints that I own! I recently had a friend call me the 'floral queen', and it made me laugh so much, but hey... I'm okay with it. Friends, I am who I am and I'm taking this floral obsession with me into Summer! Stay tuned for quite a few more blooms in the future. xoxo

Watercolor Blooms

Steve Madden Sandals

Happy First Day of Summer!!

I thought the best way (in my book) to celebrate the start of this season would be with a bright print, and my favorite neighborhood of the city.

SIDE NOTE: Every. Single. Time. that I wear this skirt, I'm constantly having girls come up to me asking me where it's from. The colors, the way it flows... it's definitely the perfect addition to your Summer wardrobe.

Since it's arrival at my Upper East Side abode, I've worn it close to a million times already. (Okay not really, but fairly close!) I paired it with a new favorite embroidered top from Zara that you can find here, and can't wait to see what other fun tops I can match it with. Probably a few fun crop tops now that it's getting hot hot hot in NYC!

Romping Around

Chicwish Romper | Anthropologie Wedges

Happy Friday!

It's officially the weekend, and that means lots of smiles are happening today for this gal.

I've been living in simple pieces all spring. From anything and everything flowy, to breathable tops, and casual rompers... One of my favorite things about dressing for Spring and Summer is being able to just throw something on before heading out the door. No need for extra layers or added fuss. Just a simple sundress or romper will do the trick. (insert winky face emoji here)

I'm planning to add a few more rompers to my closet this season, especially since I've heard rumors that NYC Summers can be pretty brutal. (I should know! I moved here at the end of last Summer and went without air conditioning in my apt. for a month!!)

So here's to all of the light layers, and surviving Summer in New York!

NYC Brunch Guide

ALL the brunch for me please.
Rosemary's Greenwich Village

A sweet friend from Texas recently reached out to me to let me know that she’ll be in the city next weekend! She asked for a few recommendations on favorite brunch spots in NYC since she’s planning to visit with a few of her good gals. They're currently planning to do all the eating while in the city, which naturally should be done when visiting New York.

So that got me thinking…
I’m a girl...girl’s love brunch, girl’s love boozy brunch. AND, I’ve got a pretty good line-up of ‘it’ brunch spots in my arsenal from having 'brunched it up' quite a bit in Manhattan since I arrived last year. And, if you didn't already know this about New York... Brunch is kind of a BIG deal in this city. It's almost as though every single person on this little island drops everything their doing on a Sunday to brunch. And brunch HARD. (Plus - this girl is definitely not complaining.)

Below I’m sharing some of my favorite brunch destinations (by neighborhood) for you to try out, and probably spend most of your weekend in, or live in. Hey… I don’t judge. Been there...brunched there...forgot my hat at the table.

No, but really. I did forget my hat at the table one time and had to go back.
Hold the mimosas next time! (Or don't.) Yes, maybe don't.

Floral Shorts

Okay friends, real talk. Stop reading this blog right NOW if you don't like florals. I'm kind of slightly, well...overly obsessed with them. Actually, obsessed would be an understatement. (Huge understatement. Did I say H U G E ?? ) Okay okay, I think you get the picture. I just wanted to make sure that you feel prepared for what you might see here on LM the remainder of Spring and most likely all Summer, and that you fully know what you're in for!

I picked up these floral shorts from Zara not long ago, and am so in love with them! I have been looking for a cute floral print pair, and these are just perfect. I paired it with Zara's 'frilled sleeve top' (the prettiest of blues), and a classic pair of nude heels. You'll probably be seeing a bit of these shorts this summer, at least until I'm onto the next floral print obsession.

Green Lace

You'll never see me shy away from two things: a pretty lace piece, and anything and everything floral print. If you're like me and looking to add a little bit of both to your wardrobe right now, then look no further than Zara.

Both of these pretty pieces are from Zara, and I can honestly say that they are seriously killing the Spring Style Game right now. Every single piece in the store and online is so on point, and I've been wanting to take it all home with me! (Boo to having to be responsible and set aside money for rent though! haha)

I'm excited to see how to mix and match both of these pieces with different items that I have in my closet, and can't wait to play around with different styles for each.

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday loves! ~

Leopard Martini Content

Happy Tuesday friends!

So, I took a pole over on Snapchat yesterday (sn:leopardmartini), asking what you would like to see more of here on LM. I'm working on making a few changes to the site soon, and wanting to add in more weekly posts, fun content, etc... and was interested in seeing what you would like to see here. It turns out that a lot of people who follow me on snap would love to see more posts on NYC!

I thought I would go ahead and ask the same question here for you guys as well! What would you love to see more of on this little site of mine? From New York, to more beauty & lifestyle posts, dating...? I would love any and all suggestions, so please feel free to leave them in the comments below!!

White Eyelet

Chicwish Crochet Cropped Top & Crochet Skirt (Similar Here & Here) |
Henri Bendel Amanda Square Sunglasses

One of my favorite styles to wear during the spring has always been a feminine, eyelet piece. I wore a few eyelet dresses on the blog last year here & here, and can't wait to wear more this  spring/summer.

This pretty two-piece is from Chicwish, and is simply gorgeous. The delicate crochet detail is so stunning, and I can't begin to tell you how many compliments I received while wearing it through the West Village a few weekends ago. You'll definitely see me in this look quite a bit this season...I'm already planning to wear it to a few fun events that I have lined up this year!
