Almost Spring

Banana Republic Floral Dress | Forever 21 Sandals

Happy Monday loves!

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend! Did you do anything fun?

One of my best friend's birthday's (also my photographer Miryam!) was on Thursday so we had a busy and fun few days celebrating her special day! On Thursday, we went out to Brother's Jimmy's - a yummy BBQ spot in the city, and enjoyed drinks and food with friends. Friday, we met for drinks with a few more friends at Fat Buddha in the Lower East Side. I had never been there before, and it was a lot of fun! I mainly went for the food haha, so if you plan on going I definitely recommend the pork buns! (So much yesss) And on Saturday, Miryam and I spent some time re-organizing my apartment and then headed over to DVF in Meatpacking for a fun collaboration that I absolutely can't wait to share with you!

Yesterday's weather had me feeling all the feels for Spring by the way. I'm so excited for warmer temps and to be able to wear dresses on a regular basis again! (My go-to outfit of choice when the weather is great.)

This Banana Republic dress featured above is currently on sale, plus I've linked up several other floral dresses that I'm loving for you too! I can't wait to add a few more to my closet for spring.

Pink Lace

ZARA Lace Dress | Steve Madden Heels

Happy Friday friends!

I was so happy when I woke up to a little sunshine this morning. We've had several gloomy days in the city this past week, and lots of rain so I was ready for a little bit of sun to peak through. This lace dress (also from ZARA- I feel like it's been my go-to spot recently for cute pieces) is one of my absolute favorites. The blush pink color and the beautiful neckline makes it such a gorgeous dress for date night, dinner with friends, or an evening at your favorite museum. I can't wait to wear it to a few other events that I have planned.

Wishing you a great and happy weekend!! xo

The Cape

ZARA Cape (Similar Here & Below) | J Brand Skinnies | ZARA Boots

Today I'm talking about that one piece that you probably haven't thought to add to your closet, but that you definitely should!! {THE CAPE}

I picked this camel cape up from ZARA not long ago, and have been more than obsessed with it ever since. It's such a chic and classic piece to throw on over a basic tee or casual long sleeve top. Not to mention, a fun second option to your usual go-to coat or cover up. With the weather being a bit chilly in NYC still, I've been finding new ways to bundle up while still attempting to look put together. Nothing says effortless chic quite like a classic cape. Throw in a top knot plus a red lip, and your good to go for a day of fun in the city!

I've linked up a few of my favorite capes from around the web for you below:

Feminine Details

Anthropologie Top | Express Leggings | Aldo Shoes | Francesca's Necklace

Happy Friday loves!

I hope that you've had a great week! Do you have any fun plans for this weekend? My mom arrived from Texas yesterday, so we've got a fun girl's weekend in the city planned. I'm so looking forward to having her here with me for a few days, and so excited to catch up and show her a few of my favorite spots around NYC. Now that I've had time to explore the city a bit more since she last visited, it will be so much fun to take her around some of my favorite neighborhoods and New York haunts.

Back to this look: I'm such a sucker for feminine detailed tops, and I've been adding a few more to my closet recently. One of my go-to places for them has always been Anthropologie. You can always find such beautiful and unique pieces there. I picked this blouse up about a week ago, so it should still be in stores! (sold-out online) I've also linked up a few other favorite tops for you below.

Happy weekend! xo

Winter in the Park

Francesca's Dress (Similar) & Necklaces | Zara Cardigan | Old Navy Hat

Happy Monday friends!

I hope that you had a great weekend!

Mine felt as if it went by so quickly. I was able to catch up on a few upcoming projects for the blog, see some friends, and prep for Fashion Week as well so that was great. Now I'm gearing up for a busy next few days. This week is going to be one of the busiest that I've had in a while. I have so many things going on with work, as well as friends visiting! My girl Chelsea from the blog truelane is coming into the city to stay with me for NYFW, and one of my best friends from Texas is visiting New York with her boyfriend also! Not to mention I still have some last minute outfit planning to do before the Fashion Week shows begin! Does anyone want to come and help me prep for the next few days?!

I hope that you have a wonderful day!

Studio Living

I am currently in the process of making a few minor updates to my little studio apartment on the Upper East Side. If you follow along on Snapchat, you'll know that my little brother recently moved out of the apartment. (insert very sad emoji here) - And yes...we were sharing a studio!! It was so much fun to have my little brother here in New York with me to start my adventure in the city. Unfortunately (for me), he is off to do fun and amazing things back in Texas. In the meantime, I've been planning to make a few exciting additions to the apartment, including switching up the bed situation from two twins to either a full or a queen, getting a headboard, new rug, and chic accents to make the apartment feel more like my home.

Which leads me to Pinterest... An absolute lifesaver, and my go-to site for when I'm brainstorming ideas. I have been pinning home inspiration pins like crazy recently, and can't wait to start picking out a few things to add to the apartment. Living in a tiny studio can be tricky, so I'm looking into ways to make the most of the space that I have. I'm playing around with different color schemes as well, and can't wait to show all of you guys everything once it's finished! I'll definitely do an apartment update post for you to see.

SoHo Style

Anthropologie Dress | ZARA Leather Jacket

Sometimes you have to liven up an otherwise ordinary Wednesday by wearing a chic Anthropologie gown through the streets of SoHo...which is just what I did last week! Channeling my inner Carrie Bradshaw of course. And if there's one place where you can break out of all your style boundaries, it's definitely New York City.

I strolled through SoHo the other day in this beautiful evening gown that I picked up at Anthropologie not long ago (in stores and on sale!). I felt that since I'm a New York City gal now, I need to have at least one dress that's appropriate for an evening at The Met or a night at the theatre. I'm really looking forward to wearing this to an actual event though, and not just through the streets of NYC! But I guess this will have to do for now.
