Coffee in the City

It should come as no surprise (if you follow me on Snapchat {leopardmartini} and Instagram), that I'm a huge fan of a good cup of coffee. After having been in the city for a few months now - almost 6 to be exact - I've managed to work my way through New York, one latte at a time.

I've rounded up a few of my favorite spots in the city that offer up my favorite cup of joe as well as some amazing drinks to sip on this winter. If you're planning to visit New York any time soon, I definitely recommend checking these out!

Cut It Out

ZARA Sweater, Leather Cut-out Skirt, and Flats (Similar Here, Here, & Here)
Express Faux Fur Scarf

Happy Wednesday friends!

I apologize for the blog being a little quiet recently. (I'll be back to regular posting soon!!) I've had so many friends in town visiting recently, and have been busy tending to them as well as preparing for my little brother to leave New York! It's his last week in the city before he moves back to Texas and I'm so sad! I'll miss him so much, but I'm so happy for him and his new ventures as well.

Back to todays look:
I picked up everything in this outfit (minus the scarf) at Zara last week! They are currently having an amazing sale, and I definitely made the most of it. This cut-out leather skirt was such a steal, and the perfect piece to pair with a few casual sweaters during the winter as well as some glam tops for a night out. Head to Zara soon loves before the sale ends! It's the best time to stock up on some classic pieces, from leather jackets to the perfect trench coat. You'll be so happy that you did!

Empire State

ZARA Coat & LOFT Earrings

I had a 'New York first' last week, and it was nothing short of cinematic. I was able to check something off of my list of things to do that I've been wanting to experience for as long as I can remember.

My cousin was visiting from Canada, and we both decided to get up early one morning and head straight to the Empire State Building. I have been wanting to go to the top for the longest time now, and have always wanted to see New York City this way in all of its glory. To say it was incredible would absolutely be an understatement. I was completely in awe of the city, and so overwhelmed by the beauty of NYC. I felt like I was on top of the world.

This concrete jungle that I now get to call home is unlike any city I've ever lived in, visited, or seen. There's an electrifying energy in New York that draws people here, and an instant 'head over heels' feeling that leaves you wanting more. I've never felt more at home in a city before, and in the words of Tom Wolfe I think he explains this feeling in the best possible way:

"One belongs to New York instantly,
one belongs to it as much in five minutes as in five years."

Here's to you New York xoxo

Winter White

Chicwish Faux Fur Coat | Free People Lace Dress (Similar Here & Here) |
BaubleBar Icestorm Drops

I love a classic winter coat, and this faux fur beauty from Chicwish is currently on my list of absolute favorites that I have ever owned. The gorgeous white and faux fur combo makes it such a chic option to pair over a glam dress or a classic pair of skinnies. You can definitely dress this coat up or down depending on the occasion.

You'll probably catch me wearing this coat quite a bit this winter, as I already can't get enough of it! I'm looking forward to pairing it with a few other pieces in my closet, and am so thrilled to wear this out during a few events that I have lined up here in the city.

Thank you to Chicwish for sponsoring this post!
All opinions are my own! xo

New York Favorites

Weekend Blooms
Window Shopping
Upper East Charm
Lattes & Michael Kors
Cute Stoop in the Neighborhood

I love taking snaps of things that I'm seeing while walking around the city. I often commute by subway to the different neighborhoods in Manhattan, but I also love just putting in my headphones and walking everywhere that I can.

Walking from one part of the city to the next is one of the best ways that I've been able to get to know New York a little more. (Not to mention, counts as great exercise too!) I've been able to discover a few new favorite places to eat, grab a latte or stop by for drinks with friends, and my list is continuing to grow.

Some hot spots that I've recently tried and frequented are below, and if you're planning to visit NYC soon I definitely recommend trying a few of them! I'm hoping to have an updated section on the blog soon of all things New York so that I can share with you everything that there is to love about this new city of mine.

West Village Weekend

Vince Camuto Faux Fur Vest (Similar Here & Here) | Madewell Turtleneck | H&M Jeans (Similar) | Forever 21 Booties (Similar) | Kate Spade NY Crossbody

I spent the majority of this weekend indulging in a little 'Me Time', and it was absolutely amazing. On Saturday, I had nothing on my schedule so I headed over to one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city and did a little bit of exploring.

The West Village has captured my heart since I moved to the city. From the quaint cafés around every corner, to the darling book shops and boutiques, it's no surprise why it's a favorite area amongst most New Yorkers.

I started my day with a favorite matcha latte at The Elk, and then spent the majority of my afternoon browsing through some of my favorite book stores and clothing shops. It was the perfect Saturday afternoon in the village. Sometimes we just need a day all to ourselves  to clear our heads.  No plans, no agenda, just anything you feel like doing.

What did you get up to this weekend?

Drawstring Jumpsuit

Old Navy Drawstring Jumpsuit | Steve Madden Heels (Similar)

I'm a major fan of jumpsuits, and always try to wear them any chance that I can. I love how you can easily dress them up or down depending on the occasion. Not to mention, how comfy yet chic they can be as well. This one from Old Navy has been on heavy rotation in my closet recently. The pretty print and hue make it a perfect piece for the winter, and the price point is amazing as well! (Currently on sale for $20!!). I'm definitely planning to wear a lot more jumpsuits this season, and can't wait to add a few more into my wardrobe.
