Fall Transition Must-Haves

Fall in Texas is more of an Indian Summer, and the temperatures never really drop until the end of October. Which is completely fine with me! I've put together a list of some of my favorite transition pieces to take you from those brisk Fall mornings to those warmer Fall afternoons. I can't wait to add a few of these to my wardrobe.

Shopping in Soho

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a lovely day! Mine was busy busy, as most Mondays usually are. It's so hard for my mind to transition from weekend mode to Monday 'work week' mode haha. Oh the struggle...

I wore this outfit while shopping in Soho in NYC with Chelsea, one of my blogger besties. Soho is probably one of my absolute favorite areas of the city. The cobblestone streets and quaint shops, along with the gorgeous architecture of the buildings is simply stunning. Not to mention, the food is just divine! I could have stayed in Soho that whole week that I was there! I'm planning to go back to the city in February, and am looking into staying near the area so I can do a little more exploring.

White Out

There is something so refreshing and classic about an all white combo. White on white is so beautifully elegant, and has always been my absolute favorite look. I'm planning to add a few more white pieces into my wardrobe this Fall and Winter, and can't wait to recreate my own version of the 'all white' look. I'm currently crushing on a few goodies from around the web.

You can shop my picks here...

Float Away Romper

Free People Float Away Romper / Nasty Gal Hat (similar) / Kate Spade Sunnies
Antonio Melani Boots (similar here & also love these) / Botkier Bag

Happy Wednesday loves!

I can't believe it's already the middle of the week. I feel as if the past few weeks have been flying by!

I wore this floral romper on my last morning in New York City when we walked from our hotel to Central Park. It was beginning to get chilly in NYC, so I was so glad that I decided to pack these boots (similar here) with me last minute for the trip. I instantly fell in love with this romper the minute that I spotted it. The pretty blue floral print looks gorgeous against the white. I can't wait to wear into the winter with tights and a cozy coat.

Work it Out

Fabletics Switch Back Tee (Cobalt), VAASA Sports Bra(Mulberry Heather)
and Pants (Salar Capri-Pink Lava), Nike Shoes

I am absolutely obsessed with Fabletics fun, and colorful workout clothes! Their cute prints and colors definitely have helped me get a little more excited about hitting the gym. Especially when you can do it in style! Kate Hudson's fun workout line even helps to select clothes based on your specific regimen. Once on the site, you are directed to a quiz that asks you a series of questions regarding your workouts, size, and color preference in order to personalize the perfect gear for you. It's so much fun, and I'm already hooked!

You can follow this link to learn more.

Now, I'm one of those girls that would honestly rather be doing anything else but spending an hour or two at the gym haha. I've realized though, as I get older that it's so important for our overall health to stay active and maintain a consistent workout routine. Not only does working out keep us in shape, but it also helps with our mood, skin, and overall happiness.

Work It:

1. I like to mix up my workouts during the week (so as to not get bored). My go-to classes are usually yoga and zumba, but I have also been mixing in a few bicycle workouts and swimming to my list. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I try to focus more on cardio like zumba, cycling, or running. Tuesday and Thursday I go for a more low-key workout like swimming or yoga. The variety definitely helps me to re-charge between sessions.

2. I usually go to the gym with a friend in order to help keep me motivated! A buddy system also helps to keep you in check whenever your having a little bit of an urge to skip a workout sesh.

3. I love looking up fun workout videos to try online. This one and this one are both on my list of must try workouts!

4. You can't put your body through all of this exercise without making it worth your while! Eating healthy, and clean is one of the best ways to maintain great health. I love adding in a salad with my meals or some whole grain with my pasta or bread. I definitely don't deny myself goodies though, and tend to practice portion control more than anything.

5. I have also been making green smoothies at home, and this list that I found on Pinterest has some of my favorites! (Not only are they great for your skin, and for detoxing, but they are also a great source of vitamins and nutrients that we need every day!) My favorite is the Glow+Go.

Happy Friday dolls!

Fashion Week Favorites

Can you spot Man Repeller and Blair Eadie in the photo?!

There were so many looks that I adored while at Fashion Week. I've pulled a few of my favorites from some of the shows that I attended while I was there. One of my absolute favorite shows during NYFW was Zimmermann. Every. Single. Piece. was absolutely breathtaking and something that I want to have in my wardrobe immediately!

I attended a few shows by Australian designers (Zimmermann included), and I fell in love with everything that I saw. The Aussies are really going to take over this Spring in the best way possible. And I'm so so sooo into it. Their gorgeous play on different fabrics, colors, and prints is simply divine.

P.S.

I also had a massive fan girl moment at Zimmermann when I spotted Shay Mitchell from "Pretty Little Liars'. She is even more gorgeous in person, and so sweet!

Oriental Sequin Dress

Asos Oriental Sequin Dress/ Michael Kors Bag/ Sole Society Shoes

I wore this dress while in New York for an event at Trina Turk. We sipped champagne and mingled with other bloggers, while we browsed Trina's latest collection. It was such a fun night, and it made it even better that Trina was there! She is just as fabulous in person.

I received so many compliments on this dress above, and I'll let you in on a little secret... It's currently on sale online for only $30! The fit is perfect and the gorgeous sequin pattern is just lovely. I can't wait to wear it into Winter for a fun Holiday party!

I took soooo many photos while in New York City for Fashion Week, and if you follow along with my Insta (@leopardmartini1) a few of these snaps might look a little familiar. Half the struggle during that week was keeping my phone from dying because I wanted to snap so many pictures haha!

I had the most amazing time in the city, and feel as if I left my heart there. From quiet afternoons on the upper east side to exciting evenings around Lincoln Center, it was all just so perfect, and even better than I could have imagined it to be. Everything in and around the city during Fashion Week was incredibly fun, so very magical, and completely full of excitement and surprises. I was able to meet and connect with so many amazing and inspiring people who I share similar interests with, and was given an extra dose of inspiration and drive to pursue what I love. It was truly one of the most memorable, and wonderful trips that I have ever experienced in my life. I had dreamed of attending New York Fashion Week since I was a little girl, and to finally be able to be a part of it was one of the most rewarding experiences, and something that I will never ever forget. It has truly shown me that anything is possible, no matter how big or difficult it may seem to achieve.

Don't ever give up on your dreams. They really can come true. xoxo
