Work it Out

I am absolutely obsessed with Fabletics fun, and colorful workout clothes! Their cute prints and colors definitely have helped me get a little more excited about hitting the gym. Especially when you can do it in style! Kate Hudson's fun workout line even helps to select clothes based on your specific regimen. Once on the site, you are directed to a quiz that asks you a series of questions regarding your workouts, size, and color preference in order to personalize the perfect gear for you. It's so much fun, and I'm already hooked!

Now, I'm one of those girls that would honestly rather be doing anything else but spending an hour or two at the gym haha. I've realized though, as I get older that it's so important for our overall health to stay active and maintain a consistent workout routine. Not only does working out keep us in shape, but it also helps with our mood, skin, and overall happiness. 

Work It:

1. I like to mix up my workouts during the week (so as to not get bored). My go-to classes are usually yoga and zumba, but I have also been mixing in a few bicycle workouts and swimming to my list. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I try to focus more on cardio like zumba, cycling, or running. Tuesday and Thursday I go for a more low-key workout like swimming or yoga. The variety definitely helps me to re-charge between sessions. 

2. I usually go to the gym with a friend in order to help keep me motivated! A buddy system also helps to keep you in check whenever your having a little bit of an urge to skip a workout sesh. 

3. I love looking up fun workout videos to try online. This one and this one are both on my list of must try workouts!

4. You can't put your body through all of this exercise without making it worth your while! Eating healthy, and clean is one of the best ways to maintain great health. I love adding in a salad with my meals or some whole grain with my pasta or bread. I definitely don't deny myself goodies though, and tend to practice portion control more than anything. 

5. I have also been making green smoothies at home, and this list that I found on Pinterest has some of my favorites! (Not only are they great for your skin, and for detoxing, but they are also a great source of vitamins and nutrients that we need every day!) My favorite is the Glow+Go.
