No fall outfit is complete without the right shoe. And by shoe, I'm talking booties to be exact. They are a MUST for any fall wardrobe, and the right one can add that extra little something to your look. I have put together a list of my current favorites from around the web in a few popular styles. My three favorites from the list are definitely the fun Acne leopard print ones, the gorgeous deep blue wedge booties from Modcloth, and the pretty poppy red stiletto booties by Chinese Laundry. I absolutely love them all though and wish I could add every pair to my closet! Oh, a girl can dream right?

Levi's Jacket, Forever 21 Turtleneck Sweater Dress, Juicy Couture Bag,
The perfect denim jacket is a must-have for any wardrobe. I found this Levi's jacket featured above at a second-hand shop in San Francisco last summer at a great price. It was in perfect condition as well, so I was absolutely thrilled. Finding the right denim jacket is essential when adding to the pieces in your closet that you'll wear the most. Always have somewhat of an idea of exactly what style you're leaning more towards. Whether it's girly or edgy make sure you have a clear picture in mind when you hit the shops. I wanted something a little edgy but with a fun and casual side that I could pair with several items in my closet. Since a denim jacket is a definite closet staple, it's always great to invest in one that you know you'll love. I was just so excited that I found mine at a fraction of the price I was intending to pay! Denim jackets are so versatile and transition perfectly from summer into the fall and winter. I definitely recommend checking out a few of your favorite thrift shops before you make your final decision on which jacket to purchase.
A few denim jackets on my radar are:
This dark wash is perfect to throw on over a pretty floral dress or bright sweater in the fall.
For a bit of an edgier look, this Paige Denim jacket is perfect for a night out.
And I LOVE this sweatshirt sleeve hooded denim jacket from Express, for those casual days.

Express Top, Target Leggings, Lauren by Ralph Lauren Boots, Aldo Bag (similar)
One thing that you'll see me in a lot of this fall/winter are tall boots. I am literally obsessed with riding boots, heeled boots, over the knee boots, you name it! And the perfect brown pair of boots can do wonders to any outfit. The Ralph Lauren pair featured above are one of my absolute favorites. I scored them on a massive sale two winters ago and wear them all the time.
Other brown boots that I'm loving are:
1. This pair of sleek dark brown ones.
2. I love the buckle on this pair.
( Both by Ralph Lauren)

1. Snapped a quick pic of the Frost Bank Tower while driving around downtown with Diego!/ 2. A lovely view of the buildings in Austin from the park./ 3. Quaint shops lining the streets./ 4. Posing next to the famous 'i love you so much' wall!/ 5. The perfect spot for an early morning latte./ 6. We frequented Mozart's Coffee Roasters so much while there. (Best chais and pumpkin gelato ever!!)/ 7. Lakeside views at Mozart's./ 8. The baby bro and an amazing view of Austin./ 9. A little souvenir from my trip. Silly snaps with my brother!
My week in Austin went by so fast! I was so sad to say goodbye to my little brother, but I was so happy and thankful that I was able to spend such a fun-filled few days with him in his new city. We have always spent Thanksgivings in Austin to be with family, but since Diego started attending UT three years ago the city has now become a bigger part of our lives. It's been my baby brother's home! While I was there, Diego showed me around everywhere and took me to some must see places and absolutely delicious restaurants. It was such a wonderful trip. I am already trying to plan another one with Ben when he gets here in November! We'll definitely have to stop by before we head back to the UK!

Victoria's Secret PINK Tee, T.J. Maxx Cardigan, Forever 21 Skirt, Express Cross-body
Bag, Lucky Brand Boots, Revlon Lipstick in 'Fire & Ice'
I am officially back from Austin and I had such an amazing time with my little brother! We went out and ate at several delicious restaurants, did some shopping at The Domain, met up with one of my besties that lives there, and I was able to see how his life at UT is! It was such a great time and I wasn't ready to leave.
One thing that I loved about being in Austin was the heat! The weather was so pleasant during my stay. It was warm enough for a short skirt, but still a little crisp for a cozy sweater. I can't wait to go back and visit again.

Thrifted Sweater (similar), Internacionale Denim Vest, Urban Outfitters Shorts,
Express Tights, Local Boutique Boots, Juicy Couture Bag, DIY Headband
Before I left for Austin, the Texas Panhandle experienced at least two days of chilly (and what felt like), winter weather! It was so cold and rainy one day so I decided to bundle up in a chunky sweater and some tights and boots. During the fall and winter, I absolutely love pairing tights with shorts and skirts. I am somewhat addicted to tights and have almost every color imaginable and several fun prints. They are so easy to throw on and work into any outfit. Perfect for those cold weather days.
DIY Headband: I made the headband using a strand of pretty floral ribbon that I found at...Walmart! It was only about 2 dollars for 1ft of ribbon! I made a bow in the back and then secured it in place with a few bobby pins.

Madewell Leather Panel Skirt, Nordstrom Plaid Infinity Scarf, Alice + Olivia Haircalf Clutch, ASOS Ballet Flats, Karl Lagerfeld Fedora, Marc by Marc Jacobs Watch, Madewell Faux Fur Vest, Kate Spade New York Polka Dot Legging, MAC Lipstick in 'Indulge', Kate Spade New York Bow Bangle, Kate Spade New York Leopard Wallet, ASOS Pom Beanie
With Fall in full swing in most parts of the country (minus Austin, Texas where it's literally still summer), I have been looking through my favorite magazines and style blogs and am getting excited about a few key pieces that I want to add to my wardrobe this season. How adorable are the Kate Spade NY polka dot leggings pictured above? And I'm absolutely loving anything and everything plaid. A few go to colors and prints that I definitely want to incorporate more of into my closet this fall are emerald green, oxblood, pretty creams and whites, and lots of plaid. I can't wait to show you new goodies that I find while in Austin!

Target floppy hat
One thing that I love about being in Texas in October, are the scattered days of warm weather and sunshine that we still receive. It begins to cool down during the month, but it's still warm enough every now and then to go out and wear a fun little dress. I wore this dress over the weekend before I went to church and dinner with my sweet friend Svetlana. We had such a nice time.
On another note, I arrived in Austin,TX yesterday to see my little brother who is attending UT and spend time with him. And, it's DEFINITELY much hotter here than it was in the Texas Panhandle so I'm bringing out the shorts and wedges. I'll be snapping pics and putting together a post on my week in Austin for you guys to see!

Target Scarf, Michael Kors Bag, Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in 'Berry Allure'
During the fall I love being able to incorporate fun plaid prints and comfy flannels into my wardrobe. Nothing quite says fall like a pretty plaid print. I found this plaid scarf last year at Target for only $8 and was absolutely thrilled at the price and the quality! They have similar ones in store at the moment for only a few dollars more than this one. Mixing in a touch of plaid into your outfit whether it's a scarf, headband, or top...will add that fun 'fall vibe' to your look, and if your me will put you in the mood for a trip to the nearest coffee shop for a yummy pumpkin spice latte.
Other plaid scarfs that I'm loving:
1. This pretty red Johnstons Lambswool one.
2. Love the simple colors of this Ben Sherman.
(Both from ASOS)
3. And I love the pretty color of this plaid cashmere scarf from Bloomies.

Express sweater and scarf, Just USA jeans, Michael Kors bag and watch
The temperature finally dropped a little bit on Saturday and I was able to pull out this simple blue and white sweater from Express to wear for a day of walking around the shops and a quick latte with my best girlfriend. It ended up getting warmer throughout the day so I also wore it minus the scarf, and with my hair pulled back in a bun.
One of my favorite things about fall is finally having a reason to wear one of the many sweaters that I have in my closet. (I literally am addicted to sweaters, and they always have to be perfectly folded and colored coordinated. I'm a tad bit OCD.) Since Saturday though, the weather is back up to warmer temps, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see how long it takes for fall to be in full swing here in Texas!

Target Dress and Vest, Guatemalan Bag, Lucky Brand Booties (similar), Revlon
Super Lustrous Lipstick in 'Wine Not'
Every year when Fall rolls around, I can't help but get a little giddy inside. It has always been my absolute favorite season. There are simply so many things to love about this time of year! From the leaves changing to beautiful shades of red, yellow, purple, and brown, and the crisp autumn breeze in the mornings, to the sight of colorful pumpkin patches, and the amazing aroma of spiced lattes at every coffee shop...I can't seem to get enough of this season! Here's a list of things that I'm planning on doing this year.
Fall To-Do List:
1. Visit a pumpkin patch. (check!)
3. Explore a haunted house or haunted corn maze.
4. Have a scary movie marathon.
5. Rock a vamp lip similar to Emily's.
6. Host a pumpkin decorating party with my girlfriends. Loving all of these fun ideas.
7. Take a getaway with my fiance to a beautiful cabin in the mountains.
8. Bundle up for a fun hayride, followed by a bonfire and lots of smores!
9. Go on a walk and enjoy the beautiful colors of the changing leaves.
10. Add a few fall nail colors to my collection.
