Sorbet

Forever 21 coat and sweater (similar) // Old Navy jeans //
Target leopard print heels (similar) // Michael Kors bag // Vintage earrings

The sun finally came out today in England, and what better way to celebrate than with a fun and colorful outfit! This spring, you'll be seeing me in lots of "hello there!" brights as well as pretty pastels and cute prints. I love this time of year, when all of my favorite shops are coming out with lovely floral print dresses and girly skirts. Now if only this English weather would cooperate with me so that I can actually wear them without freezing! I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed Easter Weekend!

{Happy Easter}

Wedding Hairstyle

Step One: Begin with three regular three strand braids and wrap with an elastic band to keep in place.

Step Two: Loosely braid the three strands together in a regular three strand braid and secure once more with an elastic band.

Step Three: Roll the braid up, hiding the tail, and secure with bobby pins.

Step Four: Pull apart and loosen up the bundle of braids and continue pinning until the foundation is somewhat symmetrical.

Hello lovelies!

I'm attending Ben's brother's wedding this weekend and have been testing out different hairstyles to pair with my new dress. One of my favorite styles so far is this fun and easy braided low bun. It's perfect for an elegant evening or even a fun outdoor barbecue . Pair it with a gorgeous gown or flowy summer dress. You can't go wrong with this lovely style.

M is for Missoni

Missoni for Target dress // Target turtleneck // Old Navy flats (similar) // Michael Kors bag

I adore anything Missoni and when they launched their (much more affordable) line for Target in the fall of 2011 I was absolutely over the moon. I managed to run out of the store with several great finds, one being this lovely and colorful dress. What I love about Missoni is that their patterns tend to always stay in style. The different colors and designs are so much fun and can be mixed and matched with other cute pieces in your wardrobe during the winter or spring. Since it's still cold in England I opted to wear this dress with a white turtleneck and ribbed tights, but I can't wait for warmer days so that I can pair it with a cute floppy hat and wedges!

With the polka dot trend in full swing for spring, I couldn't pass up this adorable peplum top when I spotted it at H&M (It was on sale too!!). Polka dots seem to be popping up everywhere with several stores and designers coming out with their own little take on this classic staple. From tops and jeans,to nails and cute summer bikinis, you're sure to find your perfect mix of polka dots to add to your wardrobe!

When in England

New Look leopard print sweater // BCBGeneration scarf //
Francesca's Collection earrings // Forever 21 jeans (similar) // Express boots

When you picture England you think of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, those cute double-decker buses, and the always iconic red phone booths. It's practically a sin not to take a picture with one while in England. (Okay...it isn't really, but how can you leave without checking that off your list!) When I spotted these adorable little phone booths in town the other day with Ben, I instantly ran over to them and took photos! Living in England still feels like an absolute dream to me. Waking up every day knowing that I'm across the pond in another country just gives me butterflies when I think about it. Seeing and visiting new places has always been so exciting to me and I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to experience life in the UK for a little while. Since my first trip to London after high school, I would jokingly tell my mom that I was going to marry someone from England and deep down had a feeling this would one day be my home. Little did I know what was in store for me. I guess wishes really do come true!

Happy Friday!!!

Spring Fling

Express portofino top (neon berry) // Target skinnies (similarand
leopard heels (similar) // Forever 21 necklace

Happy first day of Spring lovelies! I had my little nose in Glamour Magazine this morning and was getting so excited with all of the upcoming Spring trends. One that seems to be here to stay is color blocking. I love the concept of pairing outfits in the same color scheme together. It makes for such a chic and fun combination. One of my absolute favorites is mixing hot pink with a pretty red. It's such an easy and glamorous look. You can never go wrong with this perfect pairing.

Beaded Collar

T.J. Maxx blouse (similar) // Forever 21 skirt // Express tights //
Steve Madden heels // Michael Kors bag

I found this adorable little blouse at T.J. Maxx and instantly fell in love with it. The beading on the collar is so glamorous and chic (not to mention, helps to add a little something extra to your ever day outfit). It looks so cute when paired with a dainty skirt or even your favorite skinny jeans.

I'm absolutely loving the embellished collar trend. It's definitely one of my favorites for this season. Every time I'm out and about browsing through all of my favorite shops, I tend to migrate towards anything with a collar. It's such a fun and girly look that works perfectly on everyone. It's quickly and easily becoming a staple in my wardrobe.

BLACK AND WHITE

Express portofino shirt // Target jeans //
BCBGeneration faux fur vest and studded boots //

After being cooped up indoors for the past few days due to the snowy weather in England, I was so happy to finally head outside for a bit for a little change of scenery. Ben took me out and about for a day of 'window' shopping and 'actual' shopping. I've been on the hunt for a cute dress for his brother's wedding and I only have a few short weeks to find something. How funny that two of the Everson boys are walking down the aisle soon. I can't wait until it's mine and Ben's turn!

READY FOR SPRING

Old Navy floppy hat (similar) // Francesca's dress //
Express boots and tights // Michael Kors bag // Vintage earrings

I purchased this dress from Francesca's a few days before I left for England and absolutely fell in love with it. I love the bright colors and fun floral pattern at the bottom. I can't wait to wear it when it's nice and warm outside. For now, I paired it with some tights and boots since it's still a bit chilly out. Francesca's always has the cutest tops and dresses. Their clothes are so girly and fun and perfect for any little get together or occasion.

STRIPES+LEOPARD

Forever 21 striped sweater and jeans (similar) // Scarf from a little shop in Italy //
Vince Camuto boots // Michael Kors watch

Little did I know that the beach was just around the corner from Ben's house! (Well, about a 15 minute drive around the corner.) We visited the quaint, seaside town of Redcar and had such a lovely time. Ben took me out near the water where we walked along the beach and admired the gorgeous view. This area of England is located along the North Sea and it was absolutely beautiful. I will be uploading an album onto my Facebook soon with photos entirely of England, but until then here are a few pictures from our little outing.

WALK IN THE PARK

Ben took me to a charming little park in Middlesbrough the other day before we hit up the high street shops. We had such a wonderful time walking around and talking. It was absolutely freezing though, but I somehow managed to stay warm. I can't wait for spring weather to hit England! I miss the Texas sunshine.

DAY OUT IN LEEDS

Forever 21 coat // Express top and faux fur scarf (similar) // MNG by Mango skirt //
Vince Camuto boots // Juicy Couture bag

Happy March!

I have been away from the blog for a bit due to some changes that have happened in my life recently. If you follow me on instagram or twitter you may already know, but a few weeks ago I made the long trip across the pond to England! I got engaged to my college sweetheart and am currently living in the UK. Everything has happened all at once and I'm completely enjoying every minute of it! I feel like I'm living a fairy tale.

My fiance Ben, plays professional soccer (or should I say football) for York City F.C. We have been having so much fun sightseeing and spending time with his family. Ben is originally from Middlesbrough, England so he was very excited when the opportunity came up to accept his dream job back home. I am so proud of him and couldn't be happier!

I have so much to think about now and don't even know where to start with planning our wedding! (Pinterest and coffee have become my best friends at the moment). This is such an exciting time for me and I can't wait to share it all!

I hope you enjoy my new posts coming to you from jolly old England! xxx
