15 Best Black Friday Sales

I've only ever really shopped Black Friday once (in store), and that was two Thanksgivings ago in Austin. I ended up finding some great sweaters on sale and a few handbags, and my little brother and fiance found great deals on their favorite t.v. show box sets and some electronics. The only thing that I wasn't much of a fan of were the huge crowds and long lines. I tend to get a little anxious when I'm surrounded by lots of people, so I've decided that this year it's best to shop from home. Happy Thanksgiving

This time of year is the time to reflect on the things that we are so grateful for. I feel so thankful for all of the amazing blessings in my life.

For my God who is my rock and fortress.

For my wonderful and sweet family who is always there for me.

For my caring and loving fiance who makes me feel like a princess everyday.

For the best of friends that any girl could ever ask for.

For the opportunity to be creative through my blog and to do what I love.

For the chance to travel and see the world.

And of course... for jewelry, heels, and the perfect shade of lipstick! (Everything that goes along with being a girly girl.)

The list could just go on and on. There is always something to be thankful for and we must give thanks not just today but everyday. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with lots of turkey and those they love!!

Hat Lady

Express Minus the Leather Jacket (similar in 'Tea'), BCBGeneration Sweater, Forever 21 Jeans, Target Socks, Sperry Top- Sider Boots, Warehouse Hat (similar),  Michael Kors Bag,
Francesca's Collection Gloves

It should come as no surprise by now, that I'm a huge fan of hats. I love wearing them year-round and am constantly trying to work them into my outfit. I'm a huge fan of floppy hats especially and think they add the perfect fun touch to your look. I found this leopard print hat on sale this past summer at a store in England called Warehouse and was thrilled. I love a good leopard print. It's so easy to transition it from summer to fall. You'll definitely be seeing me in more hats this winter!

Winter Coats

Lights: 1/2/3
Darks: 1/2/3
Pattern: 1/2/3

With the winter weather officially making itself known in Texas these past few days, the item that is currently at the top of my list is a new winter coat. I have been trying to decide whether or not I would want a simple solid color or something with a fun pattern or print. Above is a list that I have put together of my current favorites from around the web. Which ones do you think are prettiest? Should I go for a light color, dark color, or fun printed option? I am having such a hard time deciding! Which one would you choose or are you drawn to the most?

Red Boots

Coat From Boutique in Taos,NM, Target Turtleneck Sweater (similar), T.J. Maxx Cardigan, Forever 21 Skirt, Express Tights, Jessica Simpson Boots (similar)

I love incorporating a little bit of color into my outfits in some way, especially during the winter when the months are chilly and a little bit gloomy and sad. I was instantly drawn to these red boots when I spotted them last winter. I tend to have several black and brown boots in my closet and needed something a little more 'fierce'. These are the perfect boot to make a statement during the day or to rock at night with a fun dress while out grabbing drinks with the girls or your man. If you follow me on instagram (@leopardmartini1), I wore these boots with a pair of my favorite denim jeans, a black sweater, and a leopard print scarf. You can definitely work these boots into several fun looks for day or night. I absolutely love my red boots. You can shop a similar pair here

Baby It's Cold Outside

Forever 21 Cobalt Coat, Old Navy Scarf (Fuchsia) and Shirt, Target Leggings,
Local Boutique Boots

We had a big cold front come in yesterday, and I was not expecting it at all. (Normally because our meteorologists are a little off most of the time, and by a little I mean a lot.) Unfortunately this time, their prediction of the weather for yesterday was spot on. It was windy and in the 30's which made for a very chilly day, so I bundled up in a cozy coat and chunky scarf. What better way to turn around an otherwise dreary day than with bright colors! This bright pink scarf from Old Navy is one of my favorites. I love the vibrant color and can't wait to pair it with a few more coats this fall.

I am absolutely loving cobalt for this season and the coat pictured above is one of my favorites. You can shop other cobalt coats here...

Gingham Plays Dress Up

Old Navy Shirt (similar), Forever 21 Faux Fur Vest, Express Skirt, Michael Kors Bag, Express Earrings

I'm always trying to figure out new ways to glam up pieces in my closet, and I decided that this blue gingham shirt needed a little bit of lovin'. You can make a day-time top transition into a fun evening outfit with just a few simple pieces. Throw on a chic faux fur vest, a skirt in another vibrant color, some glam earrings, and you're good to go! I love this time of year when outfits can get a little more festive. You'll definitely be seeing me in a lot of faux furs and bright hues.

Day Out in Oklahoma City

Target Hat, Express Scarf, Thrifted Sweater (similar here, here, and here), Primark Bag, Forever 21 Jeans

If you follow me on Instagram (@leopardmartini1), you'll know that last Saturday I went to Oklahoma City for the day. It was such a last minute trip! My grandma from Guatemala is currently visiting Texas, so my mom and I decided that it would be fun to have a girl's day for all three of us in OKC. We had a blast! We did some eating, shopping, browsing, LOTS of laughing... It was such a wonderful and lovely time and I feel so blessed that I was able to spend the day exploring with my two favorite gals.

I took a few snaps of the city while we were there. Oklahoma City is such a fun place and it seems to be such a lively city on the weekends. We explored Bricktown, which is one of the hot spots of the city that's pictured in the first few photos, and then we drove downtown a bit to see the holiday decorations and then headed to their mall for a little shopping. The city was beginning to look like Christmas which I absolutely loved! How cute are the giant ornaments?! One day in OKC was definitely not enough. I hope to plan another little trip back before I leave The States.

Side Note: A red scarf is one of my go-to pieces for fall. You can shop other red scarfs here...

Little Black Dress

Zara Lace Tube Dress, Target Scarf and Heels (similar), Michael Kors Bag (similar),
Express Earrings

I had been on the hunt for the perfect little black dress for what felt like ages, and with the holidays coming up soon I wanted something that would work perfect for a holiday party, family dinner, or date night with the fiance. When I spotted this gorgeous lace one at Zara a few weeks ago (only $59!), I was hooked! I absolutely love the gorgeous detailing of the pretty lace neckline, and really like the tube shape that compliments my silhouette. Not to mention, the price point was just perfect! I was so thrilled with this purchase and can't wait to style it a few different ways for the holiday season.

Bundled Up

H&M Long Sleeve Top (similar), Old Navy Chunky Cardigan, Forever 21 Jeans, Sperry Top-Sider Boots, Michael Kors Bag, Charlotte Russe Beanie, Revlon Super Lustrous
Lipstick in 'Raisin Rage

With the winter weather starting to roll in, I am slowly beginning to bring out my warm layers. As much as I'm not too excited about the cold weather, I knew it had to happen at some point and I'm definitely prepared. I live in outfits like this over the weekends in the fall and winter. I love bundling up with a chunky cardigan or cozy sweater over jeans or leggings when it's so cold out. It's such a comfy, yet casual/cute look that's so easy to throw on and perfect for when you're out grabbing coffee with friends on a Friday evening or rushing out the door to run errands on Saturday. Since this sweater has neutral colors I decided to accessorize it with a fun and colorful purple hat. I love incorporating vibrant hues into my wardrobe year-round.

Here are a few other options of some cozy, chunky cardigans...
