Wedding Inspiration

I love the vibrant colors of the flowers mixed with the rustic wood table.
How amazing is this cake!
Chandelier+Vintage Chairs+Wood Table=Perfect
Such a pretty bouquet!
Gorgeous detailing on the back of this beautiful wedding gown.
LOVE THIS! Anything that says Mr. and Mrs. makes me smile.

Ever since Ben popped the question(and I must admit...even before then), I have been pinning away to my little hearts content onto my 'Wedding Bells' Pinterest board. I am so incredibly excited about being engaged, planning a wedding, and starting a life with my best friend! With Ben's professional soccer career taking us from one country to the next I have to wait to see when he will have time off so that we can set a date, but in the meantime I have been thinking about what style of dress I want, what color I want the flowers to be, the food we will serve, outdoor vs. indoor venues, our honeymoon location...everything! I have somewhat of an idea of what I would love for our special day, but I adore so many different color schemes and palettes that it is going to be such a difficult choice!

We are currently contemplating three different options: 1. Having our wedding in England (where he is from) 2. Having our wedding in the U.S. (where I'm from) or 3. Having a destination wedding (We have Italy in mind!) There is also so much to consider with each and several things to keep in mind, such as the cost and whether or not most of our family and friends will be able to fly out to whichever destination we choose.

This is such an exciting time for us and I can't wait to continue to share more with you as our planning progresses. From engagement photos to choosing our venue, I will be posting it all on my blog. My heart is just overflowing with joy and happiness and I feel so blessed to have found such an amazing man. Ben is the sweetest and most giving person I know. He tells me that I'm beautiful every day and always treats me like a princess. His love for me is unconditional and the kind of love you only read about in books. I never knew a love like this could exist. I can't wait to share his last name.

Retro Print Shirt Dress

Yumi dress // New Look Clutch // Primark booties(similar) // Vintage earrings

When the Yumi team asked me to style a dress from their summer 'Injection Colletion' to introduce their sale, I was absolutely thrilled. I was first introduced to this fun line when I stumbled upon their shop while in York, England back in April and absolutely fell in love with their unique pieces. Their fun retro inspired clothing and adorable prints instantly made this UK based store one of my favorites. I loved it so much that I spent almost 40 minutes inside trying on fun printed tops and cute girly dresses and even walked out with a few items.

The dress featured above was one of my favorites from the 'Injection Collection'. I was immediately drawn to the fun retro print and the feminine shape of the dress. I love the color scheme as well. (It comes in a pretty blue also!) The black and white combo makes for such a chic and classic look for summer.

Madewell Summer Essentials

With summer now in full swing, I put together a fun little list of my favorite and must have items for this season from Madewell. Since first popping inside a Madewell store in Austin, Texas a few Thanksgivings ago it quickly became one of my absolute favorite places to shop. Their trendy and unique twist on classic pieces makes this place a go-to stop for your summer holiday shopping.

1. I love the detailing on this gorgeous silk framework top. Perfect to pair with a cute pencil skirt for a glam evening look or some cut-off shorts for a more casual and laid back event.

2. This Mayfair mini-satchel is classy and sophisticated + the perfect size to fill with your daily necessities and easy to carry around with you wherever you go.

3.  Give your outfit more of a 'retro' vibe with this striped mini. {Looks great paired with a simple white tee and gladiator sandals.}

4. Let's just say this fruit dress is going to be in my closet VERY soon. It's so fun and perfect for a day out in the sun with friends.

5. Switch out your normal black or brown shades for some cute mint sunnies!

6. I believe every girl needs a pair of suede platforms in her closet, and these take the cake.

7. Sundresses are mandatory for any summer wardrobe and the pretty blue on this one is simply darling.

8. In a hurry out the door or rushing over for a quick dip at the pool? Throw your cell, iPod, and lipgloss in this polka dot zip pouch

Gold Hearts

BCBGeneration scarf // Coach purse //  Forever 21 chambray dress(similar) //
New Look shoes // Target bracelets

I can't believe it's already Monday! It feels as if the weekend just flew by! I hope everyone had a wonderful one. Ben and I spent most of the weekend relaxing, going on walks, cooking, and watching movies. It was pretty laid back, but so nice. I wore this outfit the other day when we went over to the golf course near our house. (Not to golf...just to see the flowers! Unfortunately, I am not much of a golfer. Unless you count putt putt!) I paired this simple denim dress with one of my favorite BCBGeneration scarfs. I was instantly drawn to this scarf because of the pretty color and the tiny little gold hearts scattered over it. I have worn it so much this spring/summer so far and am considering purchasing it in another color! It comes in three different shades: sherbet (which is the one I am wearing), nude blush, and dark slate. The light weight material makes them perfect to throw on over a simple tee or sundress and the great news is they only cost $14 right now! Grab one before they're all gone!

First Day of Summer

Old Navy striped shirt and silver flats // Charlotte Russe shorts(similar) //
Target floppy hat(similar)

Today makes for two great things in one. The first official day of Summer AND Friday!! How perfect is that?! Another big plus is that Ben has the whole weekend off and I couldn't be more excited! (I think you might be able to tell with my overuse of exclamation marks.) I can't wait to just relax and enjoy the beautiful weather with him over the next few days. We plan to explore a little more of Iceland and the town we live in so it should be fun! I hope you have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend. See you again on Monday.~

Fuchsia + Mint

Express peplum top(same color-similar style) // A'Gaci mint jeans(similar) //
Target leopard print heels(similar// Forever 21 necklace and bracelet

I absolutely love combining fuchsia with mint. The brightness of the pink with the softness of the mint makes for such a gorgeous combo. I purchased this lovely peplum top at Express and loved it so much that I had to get it in almost every color! It comes in a variety of shades from a simple cream to a lovely red; as well as a pretty lace in black and ivory. Peplum tops still continue to be a huge staple in my closet and will be throughout the summer. I just love how chic they look when paired with some cute skinnies or a pencil skirt. It's such an easy and glam look for a date night or a fun get together with the girls.

Pretty In...

Ever since I was a little girl, I have always LOVED the color pink. From pink handbags, to dresses, to lipstick, I had it all! And now, being in my early twenties I still adore the color! When I'm feeling extra girly, this is definitely my go-to color for a feminine and fun look. I can't wait to incorporate more of it into my wardrobe for the summer.

P.S. : How adorable is this cute pink print by Stephanie SterjovskiCheck out her
SS Print Shop to see other cute prints that she has available! {AND, her blog is one of my absolute favorites.}

Mixing It Up

Express leopard print cardi(similar) and black lace top(similar) //
Forever 21 skirt // Steve Madden heels

Happy Tuesday!

The sun is shining, Benji has the evening off from training, and I have a pot of fresh coffee brewing. I have a feeling it's going to be a great day!

Back to my outfit though...I really love figuring out different ways to pair my clothes together. With half of my closet still in America, some clothes in England, and a few things here with me in Iceland, a girl's got to get creative! I can't wait to have everything all in one place again, but until then you'll catch me mixing and matching a few different prints and patterns! I mean that's what style is all about right? Reinventing new ways to wear what you have in your wardrobe!

Put A Collar On It

Primark white tee and black booties //
New Look collar necklace // Express white shorts

One of my favorite ways to dress up a plain white tee is by adding a fun statement necklace. In this case, a collar necklace. Before leaving England, I saw them absolutely everywhere. From Topshop and H&M to inside high end department stores like Harvey Nichols. I picked up this fun one from a store in the UK called New Look, but here are a few others that I came across on the web and really love: I love the multi floral embellishments on this collar, this cute 3D flower collar, and this cute peter pan collar that would be perfect over a plain tee. (All from Asos)

Get The Look: Crop Top

One of my favorite looks for the summer is pairing a fun crop top with high waisted shorts and some edgy gladiator sandals. I love how boho chic this look is and yet still remains simple and effortless. Here are a few lovely crop tops that I'm currently craving: this dainty floral one from Topshop, this cute and basic striped top, and this fun and colorful 'island crush' crop top. (Both from Nasty Gal)

Pop Of Leopard

Express oversized sweater // PacSun leopard print shorts // MNG by Mango necklace //
Gianni Bini sandals

I love figuring out different ways to glam up an outfit. Whether it's with some gorgeous heels, a fabulous bag, or a simple swipe of red lipstick, there is always a fun way to reinvent your look. I purchased these cut-off leopard print shorts at PacSun a few summers ago, but you can find similar ones: here, here, and here.

Black And Blue

H&M romper // Express blazer // Primark booties //
New Look envelope clutch (similar) // Marc Jacobs watch // Vintage earrings

I found this pretty blue romper at H&M right before Ben and I left for Iceland and was so happy. We went in to get some last minute things like t-shirts and comfy clothes for the trip when I spotted this cute little thing on the sale rack! I'm always drawn to bright colors and can be seen in them pretty much year round. I loved the pretty floral print on it as well and can't wait to style it a few different ways this season. Rompers are one of my favorite things to wear during the warm weather months. It's such a perfect summer staple that can easily transition from day to night. Pair it with sandals or flats during the day then add some fun accessories and glam heels for a night time look and you're good to go!

Feeling Girly

Primark dress // New Look wedges // Target floppy hat(similar) // Anthropologie earrings

I could live in dresses all summer long, but unfortunately that isn't the most practical option sometimes. Especially in Iceland, where it can be sunny one minute then rainy and windy the next. But when the weather is nice, you can be certain I'll be seen walking around in a fun sundress. I have been loving dresses with cute prints lately, and when I spotted this floral+stripe combination dress at Primark I knew I had to have it. A few other printed dresses that are currently on my radar are: this gorgeous toile one from Modcloth, this fun pineapple print dress that you can find at Topshop, and this feminine a-line dress by Joie.
