Birthday Girl

{Express red lace dress, Target leopard print heels (similar) }

Today I am turning 24 and couldn't be happier! I can't believe how fast time is flying by! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was celebrating my 21st birthday. I am so incredibly thankful to have been blessed with another year filled with wonderful memories and the most amazing experiences. The Lord has truly blessed me with the best family and friends I could have ever asked for, and the most loving and caring boyfriend in the world. I feel so happy that I am able to celebrate another year with the ones I love most, and can't wait to see what's in store next!

P.S. I'm wearing the dress pictured above to my birthday dinner tonight with the bf. It was a birthday present off my mom and I'm completely in love with it. The color is absolutely gorgeous and the lace detail is so lovely. It's also a perfect little, red dress for any holiday parties you may be attending this year. :)

Fuchsia & Mint

{Target chambray top, Forever 21 sweater, Express sequin open knit infinity scarf
A'Gaci mint jeans (similar), Charlotte Russe heels, Michael Kors bag}

It should come as no surprise that I'm a huge fan of bright colors and this rings especially true during the winter. I love mixing and matching different colors for a bold and fun look. I am also a huge fan of pastels and think they look gorgeous when paired with a bright, contrasting hue. I purchased these mint jeans a few months back at A'Gaci and absolutely love them. I recently spotted a similar pair at Express that are just as fabulous and they come in several different colors as well. You should definitely make a stop while out Christmas shopping and pick some up!

I hope everyone has a lovely and safe weekend. xoxo

I didn't quite know what I was missing out on before the peplum trend took full swing over the spring. It's an absolutely darling look and can be so flattering on many different figures. It gives off such a dainty and elegant vibe, and oozes simple perfection. It's a sophisticated and glamorous holiday look as well. With many variations of the trend incorporating sequins and metallics you're sure to look the part in a gorgeous peplum ensemble during all of the Christmas festivities.

Green Velvet

{Express leopard print cardigan (similar) and sequin cami, American Apparel velvet skirt
Steve Madden heels, Michael Kors Bag (similar) }

I normally gravitate away from velvet pieces, simply due to the fact that I often feel they don't look particularly flattering on me. I did although, make an exception to this theory while doing some shopping in San Antonio and couldn't be happier with my decision to. I spotted this gorgeous dark green velvet skirt at American Apparel and could not take my eyes off of it. The rich green color and gorgeous fabric had me at, "Hello, you're coming home with me". This skirt is absolutely lovely and so perfect for the holidays. It comes in burgundy, navy, and black as well (the green is hands down my favorite).  If anything has made me a fan of velvet, this skirt definitely did the trick.

Nothing says holiday glam as much as sequins do and ever since I spotted an absolutely gorgeous pair of BCBG Max Azria sequin leggings the other day, I fell  head over heels in love. So many retailers have their own version of these gorgeous leggings out right now and in so many different colors and patterns. They're a fun and festive alternative to a party dress for all of those holiday events you might attend, and are sure to make you the talk of the evening. You'll definitely be a showstopper in these leggings. I give them a huge thumbs up!

{Express (minus the leather) jacket, sweater, leggings, and scarf,
Coach riding boots (similar), Juicy Couture leopard print bag}

Happy Monday loves! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I was at work unfortunately for most of it, but it all ended on a perfect note when we had our first snowfall of the season last night! Granted it was only a little bit of snow, but it still managed to put me in the "I'm so ready for Christmas" mood.  In my mind, nothing truly says Christmas like snow to go along with it.

Back to my outfit...I can't seem to stop wearing this jacket that I bought from Express. I absolutely love the butterscotch color and it goes perfectly with basically everything in my closet. Not to mention, every time I wear it out somewhere I tend to receive so many compliments. It's a perfect staple to add to your wardrobe, especially during these cold months. I paired it with an oversized blue and white sweater and my favorite riding boots.

Black and Blue

{Target turtle neck top and leopard heels, Express dress pants}

I snagged these pants at Express the other day on sale and was thrilled that they had finally been reduced. When I first spotted these at the store I wasn't sure if I really liked them, but after much consideration and a little bit of outfit planning in my head I thought I should give them a try. I love the jacquard, tweed print on them and especially like the fact that they're a gorgeous electric blue color. It's such a fun twist to an everyday dress pant and adds much more glam to your look during this holiday season.

I hope you enjoy your weekend! I have a cup of white hot chocolate waiting for me and a night in with Netflix and my favorite boy. xoxo

Winter Hi-Lo

{Express metallic lace stripe top, Hi-Lo skirt, and necklace,
Forever 21 faux fur vest, BCBGeneration clutch, Jessica Simpson heels, NARS lipstick in 'Schiap'}

I love wearing skirts all year round and this hi-lo one from Express is one of my favorites. It's such a simple piece, yet makes such a big statement at the same time. I paired it with a gorgeous faux fur vest that I found at Forever 21 a few months back and some nude heels to elongate my legs. (I need all the help I can get since I'm only at the 5 ft. mark!) This black hi-lo is currently on sale for only $19 so make sure to pick one up before they're all gone. It's definitely a great piece to have in your wardrobe. Have a lovely Wednesday! xo

This week I am currently drooling over every single piece of jewelry at J.Crew's Jewelry Shop. They have very unique and gorgeous pieces to mix and max with your holiday wardrobe this year. I love J.Crew, simply because they always seem to think outside of the box when it comes to their design aesthetic. Every time I step inside their store I feel like I just walked into a candy shop. With all of their beautiful patterns, colors, and different textures in all of their pieces, it's a delicious mix of eccentric meets girly.  It's so much fun to see what new arrivals they have and what new additions I can incorporate into my wardrobe.

Striped Peplum

{Express peplum topcardigan (fluro pink), and necklace, Forever 21 jeans,
Target leopard heels (similar)}

Happy Monday loves!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I spent most of the weekend lounging around, spending time with the bf, and doing a little bit of Christmas shopping. I just adore this time of year so much. Seeing all of the holiday decorations out everywhere and sipping on an eggnog latte while maneuvering my way through all of the cute shops...It's pure bliss.

While I was out buying some Christmas pressies, I happened to pick up a few things for myself as well. It's so hard not to when I see so many adorable things all around me! One of my purchases was this darling striped peplum top pictured above. The peplum trend is still in full swing for this season and I thought it would be a perfect little addition to my closet. The stripes are navy (not black) and this top can be mixed and matched with basically any color. It's a great little basic to have.
