Blue Flamingo

{Urban Outfitters top, Express sateen jean leggings and silver clutch, Gianni Bini shoes,
Charlotte Russe sea bead necklace, Nail color: Sinful Colors in '24/7'
and Essie LuxEffects in 'Set in stones'}

If I wear a t-shirt, I tend to gravitate towards ones that have a unique pattern or design on them. I love wearing your basic tee with some skinny jeans or cut off shorts. If the shirt has a little extra flare to it though, I tend to feel that it adds a little more glam to the outfit. When I spotted this 'tropical' inspired top at Urban Outfitters last weekend, I immediately snatched it up. I really love the daisies mixed in with the stripes and the random flamingos on each side are so cute! Not to mention, it's so lightweight and perfect to throw on during these hot days to make a simple outfit a little more chic.

Animal Instinct

{Ann Taylor LOFT leopard print top (similar), JUST USA Los Angeles black skinnies:
similar style here and here, Steve Madden shoes, Express chain bracelet}

I consider leopard print a basic when it comes to my closet. The possibilities in outfit combinations are simply endless and you can trust in knowing that anything you may own in leopard print will never go out of style. From Summer to Winter, there's always a good reason to wear leopard. xx

{H&M Metallic Silver sweater, Forever21 tropical shorts, Gianni Bini wedges,
 Target ice blue watch}

When I first spotted these floral print shorts at Forever21, I immediately fell in love. They come in a coral/teal print as well, but I opted for the blue/green combo. They're lightweight and perfect to wear during these hot days. With the tropical trend in full swing, these are a chic and affordable alternative to all of the high-end designer pieces and a perfect addition to your summer wardrobe.

{Forever21 Striped French Terry pulloverCharlotte Russe shorts, MNG by Mango necklace,
Michael Kors watch, X Generation spike bracelet (similar), Juicy Couture sunnies}

I recently purchased this Striped French Terry Pullover from Forever21 and am so glad that I did. Not only is it super comfy, but it's perfect to mix and match with so many things.

 The great thing about casual sweaters is that they are a perfect piece to dress up or dress down. Wear it how I did above with some bright shorts and a chunky necklace or make it a little more dressy by combining it with a metallic skirt, some heels, and a gorgeous collar necklace.

Local Boutique chain necklace}

Hey loves!

Sorry that I've been out of touch for a bit. I went out of town for the past two weekends and have just been spending lots of time with the family, which has been so nice. It's always good to have a little down time to relax and just enjoy life :).

Also, if you notice in the last photo, I now have a new little toy to play with and I'm absolutely thrilled! It's going to take me a little while to figure out how to work it and everything...I mean I'm no professional photographer by any means, but I hope to master it enough to show you little things that inspire me everyday. xo

Downtown Dallas

{Target chambray top and hat, Victoria's Secret PINK tee, U-51 shorts,
Vintage Juicy Couture bag, Gianni Bini sandals}
{Little bro creepin' in the back}

This past weekend, I went down to Dallas with the family. We have a place there, so we usually try and go often. It was so nice just to kick back, relax, and get away for a little while. I mainly took lots of comfortable clothes with me, so that I could easily walk around the shops and try clothes on if I needed to of course haha.

I absolutely love Dallas. It's such a fun and chic city with great places to shop and eat. I'm definitely looking forward to going back again. Any amount of time spent in Dallas is always so nice.

Seeing Spots

{Forever 21 high-low polka dot top (similar), Old Navy neon shorts
Steve Madden shoes, Vintage Coach bag}

I love taking a staple piece and mixing it with something that is currently on trend.
I'm almost positive that every girl has something polka dot in her closet and
with the neon trend still going strong mixing both makes for a colorful and cute combo!

A Touch of Sparkle

{Victoria's Secret PINK tee, Forever 21 sparkle maxi skirt,
Steve Madden sandals, MNG by Mango necklace, Michael Kors watch,
Gap cross-body bag, L'Oreal nail color in 'Tweet Me'}

I love pairing cute skirts with a basic tee and statement necklace. It makes for such a chic and relaxed outfit that's so simple, yet so trendy as well.

You can take a maxi skirt from summer to fall by wearing it with a simple tee during the warm months, and pairing it with a cable knit sweater once the weather starts to cool down. Maxi skirts are a perfect addition to any fashionista's closet. xo
