5 Things Making Me Excited for Fall

The first day of Fall is only a few days away! (September 22nd to be exact.)

I can't believe how quickly Fall crept up on us this year, but I'm sooo excited for all of the fun festivities, the changing weather, family gatherings, and fun fall styleI also can't wait to cozy up in my new apartment, start baking all the pumpkin goodies, and transition from Summer sandals to casual booties.

I'm listing 5 Things that are Making Me Excited for Fall below.

1. Fall Florals

I'm a sucker for florals, especially the colors that come with Fall. One of my aspirations for this holiday season, is to create more floral arrangements for both my home, and as gifts for friends and family. There is nothing quite like entering a space with beautiful fresh flowers. It brings so much warmth and effortless elegance into a room.

2. Pie Season

There are two types of people: Those who love cake, and those who love pie. I'm definitely the latter... As a girl raised in Texas, y'all know I'll never say no to pie, and I'm going to attempt baking my first one solo this year. (Keep me in your prayers!) I want to master my pumpkin and apple pie before it shows up at a holiday party.

3. Sweater Weather

I'm sooo excited for boot and sweater weather this year. I've already started to get my closet ready with a few cozy favorites. One piece that has been on heavy rotation already is this Chenille Cardigan in navy. I'm also planning to snag it in nude too. (More of a blush pink in person!)

4. Seasonal Drinks

You can't do Fall without seasonal drinks. It's one of the best parts of the season in my opinion! Host a family/friend game night and offer a seasonal specialty cocktail for the group to sip on. On my must-make list this Fall: Cinnamon White Russian, Spiced Pear Flip, Apple Cider Margaritas, & Gingerbread Hot Chocolate

5. Holiday Parties

One thing that I'm looking forward to the most this Holiday Season is having a bigger space to entertain and host friends and family during the Holidays. I can't wait to move into my new apartment this Fall, decorate for the season, and put together fun holiday parties and dinners for loved ones.

What are you most excited about this Fall Season?

Central Park Mornings

Anthropologie Dress (Sold Out - Shop More Favorites Below) |

I woke up early one morning during my last week in New York, to meet up with Lauren for an early morning shoot in Central Park. The park has always been one of my favorite spots in the city.

While I was in New York, I definitely tried to make the most of the fact that I lived only a few blocks away from the park. I loved waking up early and going for a walk through the park (latte in hand of course!), or picking up a bagel from my favorite local spot, perching myself on one of the many benches, and people watching to my heart's content.

It was so fun to see people walk to-and-fro, many in a hurry to get to work, others on a leisurely stroll, and some having fun like nanny's taking the children of the Upper West and Upper East Side on adventures

There are so many things I will miss about being in New York, and Central Park is definitely one of them. I consider myself lucky to have been able to have the park right next to my little studio. Within such close walking proximity to the park.

I can't wait to go back again for a visit, a leisurely stroll, and some people watching.

From Blogging, to Traveling, and Moving, to absolutely anything you'd like to know about me! Ask me anything.

I've had it on my mind for quite some time now to start a post like this one, but never quite had the time with my crazy schedule in New York. I'm so excited to be launching it from Austin now, and am really looking forward to discussing all sorts of fun things with you guys.

The Concept:

Coffee with Adriana will go live every Friday, so please submit all questions to:

-my email: adriana@leopardmartini.com with subject Coffee with Adriana  or
-send me a DM on Instagram referencing Coffee with Adriana
-I will choose a few questions each week to answer for you, and will keep the ones I am not able to get to in rotation for the following week.

So sit back, join me with a cup of coffee, and let's dive into this week's first set of questions!!

How long have you been blogging?

I started blogging when I graduated from college in 2011. (6 Years!!) Leopard Martini began as a fun creative outlet, and I wanted to be able to incorporate my love for fashion & style into my life in some way. At the time, I had just started my first corporate job out of college and needed a way to keep my creative juices flowing. It wasn't until 2013 that I realized I could make a living from my blog, and began to collaborating regularly with brands and agencies that helped me launch my blog career.

What did you go to school for?

I studied International Business with a minor in Mass Communication/Journalism at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. (GO BUFFS!) I have always loved traveling, and wanted to have a career in which I could travel often. I also have loved to write  since I was very little. I come from a family of writers and editors. Several of my cousins are writers, my brother is a writer, and my grandfather owned the main newspaper Prensa Libre in Guatemala City. * Little Known Fact * -  I actually started at WT as a Broadcasting major, but became camera shy so I quickly switched to business!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be an actress! I grew up watching Old Hollywood movies with my dad like Breakfast at Tiffany's, Gone With the Wind, and Casablanca to name a few. My icons quickly became actresses like Audrey Hepburn, Ava Gardner, Ingrid Bergman, and Elizabeth Taylor. So naturally, I felt as though that was the way to go! I was in theatre class all throughout High School, and absolutely loved being on the stage. I definitely toyed around with the idea of continuing it throughout college, but quickly saw that my love for style, and fashion outgrew anything I wanted to do within acting.

What are your some of your Fall Must-Haves?

I always start a little list of Fall goodies that I want to add to my wardrobe before the season starts. High on that must-have list... a good Fall Floral piece, whether it's a top or a dress. I'm loving this Nordstrom Ruffle Bell Sleeve Blouse & this Mollie Tunic Dress from Anthropologie. I also love a great pair of Booties. Currently eyeing these and these. And, I never say no to Fall Cardigans & Sweaters. Loving this, this, and this
