Central Park Mornings

Anthropologie Dress (Sold Out - Shop More Favorites Below) |

I woke up early one morning during my last week in New York, to meet up with Lauren for an early morning shoot in Central Park. The park has always been one of my favorite spots in the city.

While I was in New York, I definitely tried to make the most of the fact that I lived only a few blocks away from the park. I loved waking up early and going for a walk through the park (latte in hand of course!), or picking up a bagel from my favorite local spot, perching myself on one of the many benches, and people watching to my heart's content.

It was so fun to see people walk to-and-fro, many in a hurry to get to work, others on a leisurely stroll, and some having fun like nanny's taking the children of the Upper West and Upper East Side on adventures

There are so many things I will miss about being in New York, and Central Park is definitely one of them. I consider myself lucky to have been able to have the park right next to my little studio. Within such close walking proximity to the park.

I can't wait to go back again for a visit, a leisurely stroll, and some people watching.

The Concept:

Coffee with Adriana will go live every Friday, so please submit all questions to:

-I will choose a few questions each week to answer for you, and will keep the ones I am not able to get to in rotation for the following week.

So sit back, join me with a cup of coffee, and let's dive into this week's first set of questions!!

How long have you been blogging?

I started blogging when I graduated from college in 2011. (6 Years!!) Leopard Martini began as a fun creative outlet, and I wanted to be able to incorporate my love for fashion & style into my life in some way. At the time, I had just started my first corporate job out of college and needed a way to keep my creative juices flowing. It wasn't until 2013 that I realized I could make a living from my blog, and began to collaborating regularly with brands and agencies that helped me launch my blog career.

What did you go to school for?

I studied International Business with a minor in Mass Communication/Journalism at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. (GO BUFFS!) I have always loved traveling, and wanted to have a career in which I could travel often. I also have loved to write  since I was very little. I come from a family of writers and editors. Several of my cousins are writers, my brother is a writer, and my grandfather owned the main newspaper Prensa Libre in Guatemala City. * Little Known Fact * -  I actually started at WT as a Broadcasting major, but became camera shy so I quickly switched to business!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be an actress! I grew up watching Old Hollywood movies with my dad like Breakfast at Tiffany's, Gone With the Wind, and Casablanca to name a few. My icons quickly became actresses like Audrey Hepburn, Ava Gardner, Ingrid Bergman, and Elizabeth Taylor. So naturally, I felt as though that was the way to go! I was in theatre class all throughout High School, and absolutely loved being on the stage. I definitely toyed around with the idea of continuing it throughout college, but quickly saw that my love for style, and fashion outgrew anything I wanted to do within acting.

What are your some of your Fall Must-Haves?

I always start a little list of Fall goodies that I want to add to my wardrobe before the season starts. High on that must-have list... a good Fall Floral piece, whether it's a top or a dress. I'm loving this Nordstrom Ruffle Bell Sleeve Blouse & this Mollie Tunic Dress from Anthropologie. I also love a great pair of Booties. Currently eyeing these and these. And, I never say no to Fall Cardigans & Sweaters. Loving this, this, and this
