Mixing Colors

I love getting creative when it comes to combining colors that I normally wouldn't put together and in the summertime, I'm all about pairing fun colors that pop. I paired this flowy tangerine top with a pair of blue skinnies and softened the look up with some mint heels. I kept the accessories minimal since the colors that I'm wearing are loud and vibrant. I hadn't worn this top yet, and it made me realize that I hardly have anything orange in my closet. I used to hate the way that orange looked on my olive skin tone, but found that if it's a softer shade it can sometimes look flattering. I'll have to add a little bit more orange into my wardrobe, especially for the summer!

Summer Dresses

There's no better way to embrace summer than by stepping out in an adorable sundress. One of my absolute favorite stores for fun and unique styles is UK based Oasis, and their selection of cute dresses for those warm weather days makes the possibilities endless. In need of a dress for an outdoor Memorial Day barbecue, a sunny beach wedding, or an afternoon lunch at your favorite cafe with the girls? If so, look no further than this lovely gem of a store. Edgy Meets Sweet

I love mixing sweet and feminine pieces with something a little edgier like a fun skirt or heels. It makes for such a cute and contrasting combination and really helps to mix up a look. I paired this girly floral top that I found at T.J. Maxx (only $14!) with a faux leather skirt from Forever 21. I think every girl should own a fun faux leather skirt. It's a great staple

for any closet and a perfect transition piece that helps to add a little bit of an edge to your basic outfit. I picked a few faux leather skirts from around the web that I'm currently loving. This Urban Outfitters one is so cute with the zipper, I absolutely love the cutouts on this skirt from Nordstrom, and edgy meets playful on this skirt from ThreadSence.

With the weather in Iceland becoming a bit warmer, I can finally wear one of my sundresses without completely freezing and that makes me so happy. I wore this outfit the other day when Ben and I went for a little walk near the bay. I paired it with some comfy shoes to walk in and these fun union jack heart shaped sunnies. (I had to represent England somehow of course!) Afterwards, we went for some delicious ice-cream at a cute little place in town. It was such a lovely day! What did you do this weekend?

Juicy Couture bracelet

I purchased this fun peplum top about a week before Ben and I left England. I fell in love with the adorable boat print and the pretty blue color and just knew I had to have it. I completely found it by chance and am so happy that I did! I randomly walked into a lovely little boutique called Yumi, while I was doing a bit of shopping in York and ended up spending almost an hour inside! They have gorgeous, one of a kind pieces that are so girly and fun. This store is quickly becoming one of my favorites in the UK. If you want to purchase this top online, I'm wearing a size 8 (which is the equivalent to an xs, so a 10 would be small, 12 would be medium and so on...) This would be a perfect top for a day out in the sun during the summer! I definitely recommend grabbing one while you can!

Floral Punch

After a little over a week of being in Iceland, Ben and I have finally settled in. We have an adorable little house overlooking a gorgeous snow capped mountain with the ocean right below. It's like something out of a story book. A big plus also is that Ben's training pitch is just a 2 min. walk from our place, so it's very convenient for him when he has to step out the door for soccer practice. Not to mention, the view from the soccer stadium is amazing! (If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know what I mean.) It's absolutely beautiful here in Iceland. I still can't believe I get to experience living here. I will be uploading an Iceland album on my Facebook Page soon as well as posting a few little photos of our adventures on the blog. Can't wait to show you more!
